Here’s your chance to be part of this exciting event as IRSC hosts the 2014 NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday, March 5th – Saturday March 8th. Look for an email announcement from our Chapter President, or contact Trish Powers at ppowers [at] irsc.edu to sign up.  The next Chapter Meeting will be held Thursday, February 20th from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Kight Center, room V-110. Join us to meet therapy dog Darby and learn about physical health and mental wellness. Dr. Patti Corey-Souza, Ph.D., R.N., will join us to talk about how to be the best “YOU” possible using conventional (and unconventional) strategies. Becky Douglas will introduce us to Darby and talk about the use of therapy dogs and canine crisis response teams. To honor Darby as she visits us on “NATIONAL LOVE YOUR PET DAY,” we are asking that you consider bringing a can or small bag of pet food which will be donated to Dogs 4 Disabled Veterans, an all-volunteer 501c3 organization that uses shelter and rescue dogs to train as Service Dogs or Emotional Support Dogs for disabled veterans. BRING A FRIEND FOR A CHANCE TO WIN A $10 PANERA GIFT CARD The lunch menu includes: fettuccine alfredo, garden salad with assorted dressings, garlic bread, and drinks. Lunch cost is just $5.00. |
